Michael Adams: The Elderly Experience
As the executive director of Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE) Michael Adams understands the difficulties LGBT older people face on a daily basis. These difficulties range from economic hardship and increased isolation, to a lack of competent services and healthcare disparities. Michael also knows there’s a transformational opportunity to change outdated policies via the Older Americans Act, the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging, and the collaboration between LGBT nonprofits, straight allies, and individual donors.
